Stuck on Homework?

We are happy to help children looking for information to assist with their homework. Our Homework Club is open to children between the ages of 8 and 16 and is completely free!

As Northmoor Homework Club we aim to encourage in every child a sense of security, participation, pride in and responsibility for themselves and their actions along with care and concern for others. We aim to encourage the children to foster flexible approaches and positive attitudes to learning, high standards of homework, self discipline, and a sense of belonging to the local, national and wider community.

Northmoor Homework Club is proud of its excellent provision of ICT resources, including the high-tech computer suite and a printer. As a Homework Club we are committed to ensuring access for all children to the latest in ICT technology.

We are providing to local children:

  • Free access to computers and the internet
  • Free photocopying and printing
  • We can offer help and advice on finding information to complete their homework
  • Dedicated homework helpers who will help them with any homework questions they may have
  • Our internet facility controls children to access only suitable sites for their age ( K9 internet protection)
  • Special Activities organised for them to do when their homework is finished.
  • We have word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software on our computers and other software tools too
  • Access to the Internet's vast stores of information - with knowledgeable staff on hand to point the way
  • There are up to date revision books and study guides. Latest SATs and GCSE practice papers and study books to do revision for their exams
  • Reading , writing, listening and talking are essential aspects of language and all part of the skill of
  • communicating effectively and we have a selection of fiction/non fiction books for children to choose and read
  • We have a selection of board games for them to play
  • We encourage them to paint and improve their creativity skills by providing them different kind of Art activities
  • We have very supportive volunteers who happily gives their time to our children to improve their Maths, Science and English
  • We have arranged trips to activity centres for them to do physical activities on nice warm days
  • We encourage them to have good relationship with their peers and respect to other children
