Homework Club
We have a homework Club for four years now. It is funded by BBC Children in Need and provides a safe and friendly enviornment for local children and young people to come and study, revise and socialise.
We have very supportive volunteers who happily give their time to our children to improve their Maths, Science and English.
We offer help and advice on finding information to complete their homework.
There are up to date revision books and study guides.
Reading, writing, listening and talking are essential aspects of language and all part of the skill of communicating effectively and we have s selection of fiction/non fiction books for children to choose and read.
We also have special Activities organised for them to do when their homework is finished:
Free Access to computers and the internet (our internet facility controls children to access only suitable sites for their age - K9 internet protection)
We have a selection of board games for them to play.
We encourage them to paint and improve their creativity skills by providing them different kind of Art activities.
We encourage them to have good relationship with their peers and to respect other children.
